Bank manager killed after tree fell on car; his sister, hospitalized driver

In tragic news from Chennai, a woman has died after a tree fell on her car. The incident happened in the KK Nagar district of the city on Friday.

The deceased woman was 57 years old. The woman was identified as Vani Kabilanwas, who was a director of the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB). The drama happened on Friday evening as she was returning from the office.

Vani Kabilan succumbed to his injuries instantly. She was also accompanied by her sister when the tree fell on the vehicle they were in. A driver was also present in the car.

Chennai police have opened an investigation into the matter. The survivors, his sister and the driver are admitted to a nearby hospital.

According to the police’s preliminary investigation, the old tree has weakened due to recent rains and is collapsing.
