The manager of a local gun shop thinks arms sales will increase in response
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Major credit cards are adding a new merchant category for gun retailers, much to the delight of gun control advocates.
Visa, Mastercard and American Express are all doing this to help curb mass shootings.
But not everyone celebrates.
A local gun store manager says his customers feel their Second Amendment rights are being violated.
“Our customers seem to at least want to keep the government out of the way,” said Chase Sneed, director of Posey Gun & Pawn. “If they want to buy weapons, let them. They are using their second amendment right and they should be allowed to buy guns whenever they want and protect their families and their homes. I totally agree with them. It’s upsetting.
Some Sneed customers said they would simply buy their guns from another card company that does not use the new merchant category.
Sneed also claims that these actions by the financial sector could lead to an even greater increase in gun sales.
