The San Diego Foundation welcomed two new board members, a banking executive and a technology CEO.

Xiomara Arroyo and Alessandra Lezama began their terms on July 1. The San Diego Foundation Board of Governors is made up of volunteers with diverse career backgrounds who participate in community and charitable activities throughout the region.

“Our Board and staff welcome Xiomara and Alessandra to our family of foundations and are grateful for their service,” said Mark Stuart, President and CEO of the foundation. “Their diverse experience and backgrounds will strengthen our leadership and impact as we pursue just, equitable and resilient communities for all San Diegans.”

Arroyo is Market Director and Vice President of PNC Bank, serving the Southern California region. She leads a team of financial consultants who customize financial wellness and employee benefits programs for medium and large companies.

The Cal State San Marcos graduate currently chairs the San Diego Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors and is also a member of the CSUSM President’s Advisory Council.

Lezama founded TOOTRiS, a childcare technology platform that helps parents find, register and pay for childcare in real time. His accolades include the “Dream Big – Minority Small Business Award of the Year” from the United States Chamber of Commerce and the “Moving San Diego Forward Award” from the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. She also sits on the board of directors and the management board of the regional chamber.

The San Diego Foundation, which has been a part of the community for 46 years, has awarded more than $1.3 billion to support nonprofit organizations throughout the region.
